We are currently seeking a Full-time 3-5 Educator at our Grandview Terrace Child Care Society location. We are a
successful not-for-profit provider located in Woodland Drive, Vancouver, and have been serving the Grandview-
Woodland community since 1973. This position requires a high energy, enthusiastic person with a positive attitude

QUALIFICATIONS
• Current BC ECE License to Practice Certificate
 Current First Aid Certification
 Written verification of healthy physical and mental health as stated by a qualified physician
 Clear criminal record check
 Able to communicate well in English, verbally and in writing
 Minimum one (1) year experience of working with children aged 2.5-5 years
 Able to work 7 hours/day with rotating shifts
 Asset: knowledge and understanding of Reggio Emilia philosophy and practice

• Demonstrate strong team work skills
• Maintain effective communication with families, the staff team and community resource organizations
• Show value and respect for the ideals, expectations, culture and concerns of every family in the center
• Ability to plan, carry out and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children
using modelling, observing, questioning, reflecting, demonstrating and reinforcing techniques
• Ensures a healthy and safe environment

WHAT WE OFFER
Salary – $21.61 /hour (7hours/day) + Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement

Vacation entitlement – 4% of earnings for first partial year, increasing to 3 weeks
